Production Engine Remanufacturers Association Membership Requirements

To apply for membership in PERA you must qualify as either a supplier or remanufacturer, conduct your business in a manner consistent with the PERA Credo, and complete the application below.

Applicants must observe minimum quality standards as standard operating procedure, must have a good reputation for quality of product and service in their market area, and must have been in business at least one year under their present organization. It would be helpful to attach a letter of recommendation from an existing PERA member.

  • To be considered a “Supplier Member”, your firm must be primarily engaged in providing services or in the manufacturing of parts, equipment and/or supplies, distributing either directly or through independent sales agencies; specialty remanufacturers of cylinder heads or crankshafts who are selling their remanufactured products to PERA Remanufacturer members as a normal course of their business. . A sales agency distributing a manufacturer’s product should apply as a “Manufacturers’ Rep.” Publishing companies should apply using the "Other Services" application.


  • Application Fees and Dues

    I hereby certify that I understand the qualifications for membership, including agreement to adhere to the minimum quality standards for remanufacturing. I understand that the information I have submitted will be verified by the Membership Committee of PERA and they will consider my application after the verification process. I understand this verification process may include a visit to my plant by an authorized representative of PERA. I agree to voluntarily withdraw my membership if my qualifications fall below manufacturing and production standards of membership. If asked, I agree to submit to the independent auditors of PERA a statement from my auditors verifying the information I have provided on this application.

    Associate/Supplier Members: Any person, partnership or corporation who is a manufacturer of automotive parts, equipment or supplies; or a manufacturers representative dealing in automotive parts, equipment, or supplies for automotive or industrial engines and who is currently supplying PERA members; or a member of the industry trade press, is eligible to become an associate/supplier member. Suppliers must observe minimum quality standards as standard operating procedure, must have a good reputation for quality of product and service in their market area, and must have been in business at least one year under their present organization. It would be helpful to attach a letter of recommendation from an existing PERA member.

*Dues are not deductible as charitable donations for U.S. Federal Income Tax purposes. Payments may be deducted as a business expense. Consult your tax advisor if in doubt.

PERA Credo

The Production Engine Remanufacturers Association is an association of individuals and firms who are remanufacturing internal combustion engines and their major components, or are supplying necessary components, supplies and equipment required in the remanufacturing process.

The goal of the association is to provide its members with the opportunity to exchange the ideas, methods and procedures necessary to efficiently produce remanufactured products which are equal or superior to their original in quality and performance.

PERA adheres to and supports the premise that its members are dedicated to the highest business ethics, customer satisfaction, employee consideration and to the continual upgrading of the Engine Remanufacturing Industry.
